I liked the way it looked so I decided to share it with everyone.

Good morning and a Happy Christmas to all.
After a late night (3am) and a pretty early morning (7am) we are a little tired. However, it was all worth it when the kids ran in excited that Santa had finally came and had brought “huge, huge” (Liam’s words) presents. They have been ready for Christmas for about 4 months. We had to make a calendar to help them count down, because they came in every morning wondering if it was Christmastime yet.
We let them sleep together in the same room last night. We put their mattresses on the floor for added coziness.
Then we got to work
We took a couple of pics of the tree in all it’s glory. It was a 10sec exposure, I had to paint with a flash to expose for the presents.
Liam felt the need to show me the Slinky his Aunt Cortney gave him the night before. They had a very hard time waiting for us to get our coffee.
We let them just go at them at first, but Alyssa had to play ref because Liam started opening up everybody’s.
Oh yes, you are correct… that is a camera lens coffee cup. A Nikon 24-70 2.8. Coffee just tastes better when you drink it with Nikon. If your interested you can purchase this and many other camera novelty at PhotoJoJo
She has been wanting a Pillow Pet for months.
Liam was totally stoked about his remote control race car.
A while back Liam was given a small guitar and Santa thought it was time for Ava to have one too. How else are we going to start our band??
Lennon was everywhere. I guess the sounds of the paper made him a little crazy. He must have attacked the kids 10 times.
So tomorrow is my birthday and I decided to do my first ever birthday blog. I think 28 is the Blog about yourself year anyway.
28 years ago I was born during a solar eclipse ( hey, it’s my story, so there will be a solar eclipse in it) to Bill and Julie Paro. They were stationed in Honolulu Hawaii at the time, so I guess I’m technically Hawaiian, probably explains my amazing year round tan. Judging by the photos (and the stories my parents love to tell at the worst times) I was a bit of a handful. Just take a look at the upper right image, it screams “so, can we take this baby back now, I kept the receipt”.
We lived in Hawaii for a time and then moved back to the lower 48 where my parents had my sister, Cortney. We get along great, in fact, I was the photographer at her wedding, which just happened to be my very first wedding shoot. My younger brother came many years later and I distinctly remember being very upset that my parents were ruining the fabulous four. In hindsight that was pretty selfish as Joseph is a pretty stand up fellow.
Fast forward a decade and I meet Alyssa Margaret Mazurek. We met playing softball at a fathers day tournament. We literally ran into each other while running towards a fly ball in the outfield. We collided and she fell, but no worries I caught the ball ( and I think threw it in for a double play). Funny thing is, I, in all seriousness, thought she was her dad’s girlfriend. I know it sounds weird, but in his defense the man ages really well. Anyway, long story short we started seeing each other long distance and now we are married with two amazing children. Our anniversary is on Christmas Eve and it will be 4 years this year. I am still very much in love with her now as I was when I knocked her down on the field.
This little cutie was so much fun to photograph! We could have kept the session going all day.
