  • Judy - How charming!!
The surprises and personal touches were many, and very enjoyable! I loved the idea of the prayer and reading to each other without seeing each other, before the wedding.
Stunning wedding and equally stunning captures.
I was entranced through them all!ReplyCancel

  • Pamela Morello - Just WOW! You’re who I want to be when I grow up; this is the best!!ReplyCancel

  • Jennie Valentino - These are FABULOUS!! When/how do we go about seeing all of the choices and ordering?ReplyCancel

Any time we do a wedding back up north in my hometown, I get excited! I don’t think these two could have been anymore sweet and relaxed during the biggest day of their life, and you know that makes our job soooo much easier!! Jason and April got married at the gorgeous Salem Lutheran Church in Ironwood, Michigan packed to the max and then some with all of their friends and family. After the ceremony, we headed out to Black River Harbor, Lake Superior.

The day started out very wet and rainy, but we took about 5 steps out of our cars at the Harbor and the rain stopped. It was heart-stoppingly beautiful out there! April works out at Blackjack Ski Resort and decided to have their reception there. It was Pinterest-worthy decorated! Congratulations April and Jason!!

Lately, I’ve been enjoying the heck out of my kids just sitting on the patio and watching them. My camera has been laid up for quite some time for personal play, but I’m happy to say that my love for photography has come back full swing now! Going through Breast Cancer since I was diagnosed last November, has taken the biggest toll on myself and my family. After the double mastectomy and all of my lymph nodes removed, I had to start chemo. Yesterday I finished up my 5th treatment out of 6 and I can honestly FEEL a complete difference in myself. My creativity is able to shine through now since my body isn’t working quadruple overtime trying to kill this disease on its own.

After the kiddos got home from school yesterday, it was a blazing 90˚ out and they wanted to play in some water so I hooked the sprinkler up. I scored this play set on craigslist for an unbelievable deal!!

Today my sister in-law, Will’s sister Cortney had her first baby! Cortney came into the hospital at 7:00am and was induced as soon as she got settled in and had Logan at 5:07pm. Family surrounded Cortney and Bret all day long. It was such a beautiful feeling to be there! Liam and Ava have been so excited for Logan’s birthday to have a new baby cousin. Mama and baby are doing excellent and Cort did INCREDIBLE during labor! She is a true champion!! Logan came in at 7 lbs 9 oz and 21 inches long. A very healthy and super calm baby boy. I love him so much!

Congrats Cortney and Bret! He is just so beautiful

So if you were to enter my garage, you would no doubt think I am a hoarder! But it is all starting to come together now that I’ve been bitten by the flea bug again! I’ve always loved to go antiquing or looking for older, sad looking pieces that needed some love to renovate. I think if I honestly had all the money in the world, I’d still scour the flea markets for scores. Even when I was a kid, I’d go to St. Vinney’s (there weren’t Goodwill’s back then..just to good ol’ local St. Vincent DePaul store) or Ben Franklin’s and craft up a storm on a Saturday night while listening to Super Gold with Mike Harvey 🙂 I think I was the only 10 year old watching HGTV at the time. Now doing this is super cool, because of pinterest! Pinterest has some freaking AMAZING project ideas..I can’t even handle it!

Once I started having kids, 6 years ago..I lost touch with this passion of mine. Now that I’ve almost kicked cancer’s ass completely, it’s came back in full style, baby! And I feel like I’ve been bitten, hence the name. I’d love to one day open my own store with my repurposed finds. Let me show you what I’ve been working on~
