Katie and Daniel got married at the gorgeous Marcus Lindsey, a unique and elegant venue. Their day was filled with friends and family and had a nice and calm vibe from the get go. It started out raining, but just in enough time for photos outside and the amazing coffee bar, provided by Coffee Crossing, the rain let up. I believe every wedding should think about having a coffee bar during the intermittent time after the ceremony and reception. It was so incredible and delicious!!!

Let me please start out this Wedding blog with my utmost apologies to Jenn and Andrew, to both of their families and to all of their friends for this horrendously late post. As well of you may know, I was diagnosed with aggressive metastatic breast cancer last year and things have been so far out of control for me. This has completely upturned everything I know and has affected me not only physically with the double mastectomy, lymph node removal and chemotherapy, but mentally and emotionally. To have the one thing I love most in the world to do (photography) completely melt out of my heart and mind was absolutely devastating. When fighting for your life, nothing else matters. Today I am on the road to recovery and going through chemotherapy. I am proud to say (from what my oncologist has told me) that I will be completely *hopefully* CURED by the end of THIS JUNE..!!! If you would like to follow along with my journey, please visit my personal blog www.vivalacure.org. CANCER SUCKS

Enough about me, let’s get to this STUNNER of a wedding. Andrew and Jenn got married in the cute town of Janesville, Wisconsin. Their day started off so beautiful with the sun. The sun! Oh my did it get hot so fast!! Now, sit back and relax…~Enjoy

Alana and Ricky got married at one of the most beautiful places in Wisconsin, Door County. Living near Chicago, the two decided to have a destination wedding inviting all of their friends and family.  You guys know that I (Alyssa) grew up in Wisconsin, but I never had the privilege to venture up this way. The land was fruitful, the lake surrounded you, and the hometown country chic vibe followed you all over the county.

While I have been battling with breast cancer this winter, I have had the pleasure to work on these at my leisure. The family has been outrageously amazing at letting my take my time and that lead me to really let these photos bloom in post processing…my favorite part I cannot be rushed in 😉 I was able to escape back into the vacationland of this gorgeous wedding, the love of their family and friends-shown through to me each time. I love you guys so much!! Enjoy~

This Wedding goes on record for being the longest post and the longest it has ever taken me to edit! Teresa and Cris were married in Chicago, and were surrounded in utter love by family and friends. They had so much love, it was impossible not to feel it. I honestly felt as if I was apart of the family, instantly.

I don’t even know where to start in how to describe this day. There were surprises around EVERY corner the whole day! This wedding was filled with happiness, beauty, warmth, hearts full of love, heart ache and perfection! So, I will let you see for yourself as you watch their day unfold through photos. Enjoy!
